This part was very hazardous, considering the few effusive active volcanoes in the world . In fact, these volcanoes, called "red volcanoes" present a cinematographic interest, because their eruptions are generally followed by very spectacular great fluid lava flows .
The Piton de la Fournaise of La Réunion is a "red volcano" like the volcanoes of Hawaii . It erupts almost every year, but it decided to go on strike just for the filming of "Island Adventure"...That is why the team of "ISLAND ADVENTURE " had to go to Hawaii to film the eruption of the Kilauea .
This time the team was reduced to five people, because of the hard conditions existing on the volcano . They succeeded in filming very closely lava flows, active lava tubes, and fountains of fire .
